Soooo, after some major slacking on my side (I am sorry for that, I can not promise it won't happen again though) here we are again with the unusual post. It's main focus will be rap because that's what I listen to besides hardcore but i'll try to include something of every genre out there that i enjoy. I tried to get some of the lesser known artists on here, for example i was a big fan of that A$AP Rocky tape but i'm sure yall have that already if you've been following the genre a bit. Well, that being said, feast on these unusual gems. Oh yeah, I couldn't do a review on each one of them since it's quite an extensive list, so I just added a genre and a link to what i think is their best song (youtube link) - which you can check out and if you like what you hear you know what to do.
HIPHOP & RAP (Even though I searched mostly for originality so it's not your "typical" rap )
I am gonna give a quick suggestion, download the Black Hippy albums. It's a rap collective consisting out of Kendrick Lamar (who is arguably one of the best rappers out there today) , Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q. They each have their own style and feature on eachothers albums but if you're into well thought through, clever rap you gotta go for Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul gives you a more original and distinct feel, Jay Rock goes for the classic West Coast hood sound and ScHoolboy Q is a very raw and creative artists who makes you wanna punch people. Anyway, enjoy.
