If there was one band that came out of the blue and totally blew me away last year it was Foxes. The little 3-track demo they put out then showed such a ridiculous amount of potential and passion, they were capable of doing some great things. The cool thing was they really created a little 'niche' fot their own, their music can't just simply be described as "sounds similar to : .... ". They're doing their own thing here and that is something I can only respect and applaude, progression is what this genre that is overflowing with bands that sound the same needs. This EP builds off that awesome demo, the opening track instantly reminds you of the moment you heard these guys for the first time and had this overwhelming "WOW" effect. The guitar parts at the end of the first song are simply epic, and really give you this goosebump feel. Sometimes they're as emotional and calm as La Dispute at it's best, only to burst out in those heavy and chaotic yet catchy and melodic parts that remind me more of the Chariot or something (not specifically music wise, I don't know why actually but they just do). Everything on this thing is actually great, the songs, the musicianship, the lyrics, the vocals, ... .Please take the time to check this amazing band out, they're officially one of my favourite "young" bands now, give them a listen, leave some feedback and support them if you like it.
