I didn't really know what to expect from this band so I just started the EP without any real ideas of how their sound was or anything. Well, I can say one thing ; I didn't expect this to come out (don't be afraid, it's not dubstep or glamrock or whatever). CityCop plays melodic hardcore / screamo in their very own way, accompanied by an acoustic guitar that is. At first it sounds a bit weird but when the second song is halfway I was totally convinced of the talent and originality these guys have. Sometimes it's a bit La Dispute, then it goes to some Pianos Become The Teeth and every now and then you can hear a piece of Touché Amoré, but with an acoustic guitar instead of an electric one. This is some cool music and I urge you to support creativity and originality like what we got here.

This is some incredibly awesome music, unlike your average acoustic folk singer-songwriter this man actually manages to bring across some genuine "feelings" (emotions isn't the word needed here but the music brings you in a certain state, whatever i can't explain this). Even though I can't really put my finger on where it comes from his music has a very moody and dark undertone and that's what makes this man so great. The main focus is on Matt and his banjo, yet there are some subtle additions of violins, smooth drums,.. that really give an extra dimension to the already awesome songs. He has a lot more out (for example a concept album about a girl that was murdered somewhere near his hometown at some point ) but I didn't get to check those, you can stream them on his bandcamp for now.

This EP may only contain two song but they are so damn fantastic and just simply beautiful. The lyrics and the great (and perfectly matching) vocals are just perfect. This is a great and calming singer-song writer that Bapho recommended to us. Frankt Turner used the be the frontman of the (post)hardcore band Million Dead. I would describe his music as folk. His new album 'England Keep My Bones' will be released June 6 2011. (I'm not sure if 'Poetry Of the Dead works fine, let me know)

This is what I like to call 'Gipsy-music'. A really great Belgian band that brings nine calming and relaxing songs. Always willing to get you out of your bad mood. And also, the lyrics are pretty great! Make sure to listen to the song 'reunite'. That's my favorite one!

Anyone who know anything about pop punk knows who transit is, they're one of the fastest rising bands in the genre (and rightfully so). Due to my lazy personality we don't have a whole discography up yet but that will happen soon enough. Anyway, this release is their latest and a quite special one too since they'v gone a bit acoustic on this one, being a fan of (good) acoustic music i am double pleased with this release.
