Pastel, hailing from Bari in Italy, bring you some very damn cool screamo with en emotive edy on the two tracks they released on this split. Both songs have a certain "drive" if I can call it that, that never really let's down, maybe only when some beautiful slower parts come in to change the pace a little bit. Thoe slower parts draw some influences from the more twinkly screamo/emo side of things (think Algernon Cadwallader) but don't seem out of place in the whole of things. I also really like the fact they sing in Italian, it's a fun change of things. Give them a listen, I enjoyed them a whole lot and am eagerly waiting on what comes next for these dudes!
