Deceits is a melodic hardcore band hailing from Herne (Germany) and if there is one thing I can assure you it would be that germans know how to make solid (melodic) hardcore, a thing that is proven here once again by these guys. From the first notes played here you know you got some top notch stuff going on; melodic hardcore but the rough version - the "harder" version that makes you want to scream your lungs out full of desperation while angrily marching through wherever the place is you are the time. Really; this took me by surprise; since (I've said this a thousand times before) I don't care too much for melodic hardcore these days  and if I do post it then it has to stand out in some way or form. And that's exactly whats up here; the vocals are on point - desperate yet strong; the (bass)guitarwork is beautiful and haunting at the same time and fits the vocals very well, and they're capable of making a solid switch from a "softer" build-up to a rough and heavy part (I REALLY love the guitarwork). And last but not least the drumming is exactly how it should be, heavy when needed and subtle when the rest of the intstrument along with the overall mood ask for it. I wouldn't have written this whole piece of text if I didn't want to bring these guys to your attention; they really impressed me and I would like to ask you to give them a listen, since it's just top quality melodic hardcore which is very rare these days. Only a few bands manage to stand out in this ocean of mediocre melodic hardcore bands and these guys are to be counted amongst those who deserve your attention.
