I remember when I put on a show for these guys and The Cold Harbour a few years back and to see how fare they've come since then is just amazing. Empty Handed just keeps on getting better and better in every aspect possible, their live performance got better, their musicianship got better, their songwriting got better,... (they were already awesome dudes so there wasn't much to improve on that part). Anyway, they offer us two amazing new free songs here. Both song straight rip, the lyrics are just fantastic and the music suits them perfectly. Check these guys out since they tour a lot, and buy something, they offer almost everything for free so support this initiative by giving back to them.

I'm so glad I finally get to post this one! It has been released for a while now and now the band finally gave me the go ahead to feature this on the blog. I have to start of by admitting that i'm totally in love with this thing, i was a big fan before this one was released but man this might be one the best melodic hardcore ep's that came out in 2011. They improved so damn much, they were good before but now they're absolutely fantastic! What I like so much is that they find a perfect balance between melodic and heavy (go see them live, they pleasantly surprised me by being so heavy and sounding even better live than on their already great EP's) and don't sound too "polished" but still have some kind of raw energy and passion in their songs. Every song on this EP is actually great, they all have their own vibe and athmosphere but they never "slack off" on any if the songs. This band has just become better and better and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them! They're touring Europe again with The Cold Harbour, it's a perfect package and if you have the chance you MUST see them (do it now, so you can brag about how awesome you are since you saw them before they both blew up). This has to be one of the better things released this year, the passion, the lyrics, the music as a whole, it's just a flawless ep. I used to be in love with melodic hardcore, now I find most bands boring and sounding alike - the creativity is pretty much gone it seems; there are some exceptions to this and I feel these guys certainly belong there. Great guys and matching music, please support them every way you can, they deserve it!!

 New release by one of those awesome European bands: Empty Handed. Those bands just never tend to disappoint with their passionate and intense melodic hardcore and this one is no exception. I've found that the voice may take some time to get used to, but nothing exceptional. Just great music by guys that dare to think out of the box like acoustic guitars in some parts. This makes a band stand out within the genre. Their previous EP "My Expectations..." is already up, so check that one out as well if you haven't already! Awesome artwork by the way.

Really nice melodic hardcore band from Germany, the music is is kind of similar to More Than Life so give it a try. They released it for free download but you buy a copy if you want, it's only 3 euro's so don't be an asshole and help these guys.
